Here are some of our projects and areas of concentration:
Student Citizen of the Year - A monetary award given to a graduating senior that demonstrates community support and involvement as well as academic achievements.
Citizen of the Year - An opportunity to honor one or more people in a special way.
Business of the Year - An opportunity to recognize outstanding businesses within our community.
Pride Awards - Funding educational programs, traditional and non-traditional, available to citizens and students of the community.
Education & Leadership Program - A partnership between local businesses and schools.
Welcome Signs - at the entrances to Jaffrey.
Banners - Seasonal decorations on our light poles.
Holiday Lights - Adding a festive touch to our New England holiday season.
Rails to Trails - A recreational trail for residents and visitors.
Roadside Clean Up - Spring and Fall roadside cleanup to help keep Jaffrey beautiful.
Swap Shop - Located at the Jaffrey Transfer Station, staffed by volunteers, an opportunity to recycle used items for others to appreciate. The Swap Shop is currently open on Saturdays from 10 - 2.
Riverwalk - A walkway along the beautiful Contoocook River to our municipal parking lot.
Welcome Center - A place for visitors to find information about local businesses and coming events.
Bandstand - A facility for summer band concerts and more.
Opticon System - A safety device to allow emergency vehicles to respond quickly and safely through downtown.
Fire & Police Dept. - Supplementing life and safety equipment for those who serve us.
Candidate's Night - An occasion to meet the candidates for municipal and school board positions, and a revue of the Annual Town Meeting Warrant.
Relocation Assistance - Answering telephone and mail inquiries from all over the country.
Community Stewardship Program - Helping the community to understand each other's needs and provide future direction.
